I lived in a rather narrow channel as a music listener in those days. Classic rock, a bit of alt-rock and Americana. I'm grateful that I became more open and discovered the rewards of grunge, hip-hop, funk, jazz, R&B, and...well, pretty much every genre has its shining stars.
